this kind of reminds me of Naoto Tenhiro's art style, but no particular series
comes to mind...
I noticed with the eye's coloring, you are experimenting with meshes! From how
the iris is rendered, I think the the entire eye is the mesh object. Since I am
only starting out using meshes, I take my recommendation with a grain of
salt.
Use the box tool first, and make a small box around the region you want to use
the mesh. Next, use the mesh tool (i prefer the corners) and reposition the
corners more or less where you want to. And adjust the bars too to make the the
shape like you want. Now just start adding mesh points inside the object.
I can't really explain it very well, but I got the idea/inspiration looking at
http://www.creativebush.com/tutorials/mesh_tutorial.php
I think there is a video or animated image that can explain this a lot
better.
Anyways, it looks like your more adventurous with the tools in Illustrator than
I have been. Good job.
Not bad. Reminds me of the episode Sakura meets her Grandfather (mother
side).
This should be in the doujinshi (fan art / indy art), since you drew it.Look
forward to seeing more image submitted by you in the future. *reminds me, I
should really make some free time to redo my CCS site.ß
The character's name is Riannon. The page I read was translated also mentioned
the word "celt". If that's for Celtic, then the name would be spelled
Rhiannon.
I agree with the comments about Eureka's hair down. It looks good.
I have one suggestion/comment. it's the lack of the eyelashes. You could
probably just add a layer in front and add them with pen tool. Nothing complex.
Probably just 3 corners using the handle bars.
I don't know what kind of program you are using to create these vectors, so I am
trying to keep my comments general
That's Pretty good for such a small thumbnail of this image. Oh, I found a scan
of this image on MT. CCS ~
Crescent Jester by saikusa
Hope this helps. and good job.
(personal favorite costume from CCS).
Actually, this is the cover of the TV series artbook. I recently got mine at
Anime Expo 2006. I've submitted a few more images from the book recently. But
looks like I don't need to submit this scan.
Good work. But it really looks like you could have used some of the new features
in Illustrator CS 2... Namely the Live Paint. It would have made that grass
"issue" not as big of a deal. You can draw regions without a black
line (like for the grass shading) and fill in the color later with something
like the Paint Bucket tool. Still the "Live Trace" would not have
worked well for this image because of the text, so the vectoring of the black
elements would still have been a pain..
This is Coco Yagami! And the reason I got Ever 17.
Quote by exentrichehe
she sure does seems like stuffed animal nvery much~! ^.^
Appearantly, this has something to do with her dream of swimming with a dolphin
in the ocean... Coco has a really vivid imagination.
Official scan SHOULD be 1280 X 960. But I've noticed that some of the extras in
the game don't have a definite resolution... so maybe this is one of those
images. (but it's under wallpaper in the extras section).
Oh, Ever 17 is rated Teen... so I'm guessing it's not an H-Game. I haven't
noticed Hentai material yet and I'm over 75% through all scenerios.
I will make a comment about the hands... because I can't figure out how to
stretch out my arms and have my hands like that... I've been strugling for the
past 5 minutes with little success... I keep "weaving" my fingers
together, when the fingers are actually touching my knuckles of the other
hand... I don't think the fingers would be visible in this pose, but maybe I'm
doing something wrong... or its the difference between male hands and female
hands.
Hands are hard to do, so please don't think I'm coming down on you. Hands and
feet (especially toes) are difficult to draw. Back when I was taking art
classes, and I needed to know what a hand pose was, I used my own hands to model
the pose. It may help in future drawings too.
Wow. I just saw this image down on the Minitokyo main page... and was just drawn
to it...
Tried to find things to improve... but I really can't at this time...
the overall composition is good, but my problem is that the Gundam SEED logo
doesn't fit with the image... I mean, they're a couple after all, and no where
else is there a real sense of mecha or computer codes... The font doesn't quite
work for GundamSEED either. Maybe a silhoette of Athrun and Cagalli (mini the
overall image) to replace the Strike Gundam.
as for the font... Changing it to something like at a fancy pants party might
work better... but I don't know their font names...
My only real problem is technical, it seems kind of light, but better than some
other individuals I've complained to about light images. I can see a lot more
shading detail here too.
Some will say shade darker, blah blah blah blah. I have a different approach.
When scanning I just change the scanner settings from default and play with
light and dark tones until the picture/histogram looks right and scan it in. an example of scanner
settings. I'm the first to admit it isn't great... but it's been a while
since I've drawn anything by hand, and need to warm up more... I know the hands
are pretty bad too.
Speaking of hands... on your image here, there is a slight problem with the
thumb on Lacus's left hand. I don't think a thumb, when the hand is clasped or
praying, can be parrellel with the fingers. Just try it yourself and you'll see
what I mean. Using one's own hands is probably the best way to get a visual aid
for hand positions. Hands are hard to do.
The rest of lacus's body looks right. sorry to nit pick. Just trying to help
you find areas where you can improve your drawings.
Definitely Pop is the artist, creator of Moe-tan. (so cute)
Artist looks like Kaoru, someone I found before joining MT.

Probably her 15th Doujinshi graphic novel she's worked on.

I don't know the artists name, but I do know the artists official webpage.

I like this image so much that I'm using it for onoe of my vector tracing ventures to improve my skills with Illustrator. Current progress. Mouse over to see my current vector trace.
This is probably from Hiroki's "Sugar Rain" series.
His new web site URL is

Love image.... Looks like a challenging image to vector trace... so I'm doing one. I'll update this with a link to it when I'm done.

I've made a vector trace of your image Tucking my sister in for the night, Lunamaria by sillymoogle
I'm planning on making a few more tweaks to the image before I really have finished with it. Thanks for submitting this scan.

I think this looks like a "Fan art" from Hiyoko Ozaki. The eyes look so similar to some of his works.

yes, it's one of Kojita (Yoshizuki Kumichi)'s works... but obviously, it's been placed in the right location...
I like his works....
!? there's a Special Illustration CD? Where!... I Wanna order one... Must pay respects to Kojita (his online name).
I don't know the artist's name. I've seen their stuff for a while... But I do have her/his web page address.
http://www.geocities.co.jp/AnimeComic-Cell/2860/
Found this page way back when I was frequenting BoyIs.com... before I found mt.
i can't read anything on the page not in English (or pronounce anything not in the Roman Alphabet...). .. No idea what the series is though....
It's nice.

Yes, she's cute... Who is she from Chrono Crusade?
GUess that shows I haven't watched it yet.... *sigh
